Salary:£22,128 to £28,746 pa

Nationally, regionally and locally Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are going through massive transformation to ensure that children, young people and families can access the care that they need when they need it.

Within Nottinghamshire we are committed to this vision and to facilitate this we have built a brand new state-of-the-art £21 million purpose-built development which will house a massively expanded in patient CAMHS provision, as well as a Community CAMHS base and Perinatal Inpatient Services and Perinatal Community Services.

We are looking to recruit qualified mental health nurses who are passionate about working with children and young people and want to make a difference. We need staff who are enthusiastic, committed to nursing and delivering highly effective nursing care and who want to shape the future of CAMHS and the lives of children and young people. We view nurses as being pivotal in leading the transformation within CAMHS and we can offer opportunities within the whole service for professional development and growth this includes specific CAMHS training.

We need nurses to work on our 12 bedded General Adolescent Ward (Phoenix Ward) our 12 bed specialist Eating Disorder Ward (Pegasus Ward) and our 8 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU – Hercules Ward).  These wards will have strong links with the Community CAMHS MDT as well as being fully integrated and internally supporting each other.

You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of working with people with mental health problems and supporting carers /families. Whilst we would prefer that you have some experience working within an acute environment full training and experiential learning will be given. You must have a working knowledge of safeguarding, have excellent communication and therapeutic engagement skills and be willing to work across a 24 hour / 7 day rota.
