You can achieve more at St Andrew`s Healthcare

A top 20 UK charity, St Andrew`s is a unique provider of specialist care and treatment for those with complex mental health needs.   We aspire to work together with patients and carers to ensure that our patients get the best possible outcomes, in terms of their mental, physical and spiritual needs.   Our independence means we can always put patients` interests at the heart of decision making, while re-investing surpluses in frontline services.  We are currently transforming the Charity and are introducing Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) as the vehicle to deliver ‘Value Based Healthcare`.  This will ensure our patients consistently get the best possible outcomes and local teams gain more control and responsibility.

The role

We are currently looking to hire a recognised expert in clinical investigations to manage a caseload of internal healthcare related investigations and reviews of serious cases, incidents, clinical events and complaints.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a healthcare professional with extensive clinical experience to lead high profile investigations.  You will also be expected to use your expertise to raise the level of capability and skills across the Charity, working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and compliance with external requirements and quality standards.

Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, presentations to the Executive Leadership Team and senior team will be a key part of the role.  You will ensure professional, accurate and consistent reporting of investigations and that any recommendations are responded to quickly and appropriately.

About you

You will have an in depth knowledge of investigation methodology and recognised quality standards for investigations and reporting.  You will be a great communicator and influencer, with high level analytical and evaluation skills.  You will need an understanding of complex healthcare environments, including the interplay of mental health and physical health. You will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality care, compassion and a positive patient and carer experience.

You will need full training, skills and practice in Root Cause Analysis and have experience of embedding this in investigatory practice.  You will have both the breadth and depth of skills to fulfil the role and high levels of energy, passion and drive, to lead and embed positive change.

Interested?

If this sounds like you then we`d love you to apply here.
