Charge Nurses form a vital role of the ward, contributing to the smooth running of the ward, liaising with the MDT, families, management and the staff team. A charge nurse needs to be a leader and mentor, be a guide to new and inexperienced nurses and HCW's in the safe and effective care of patients.
They need to be well organised and prompt in their actions. They will be a direct link from the ward to the MDT/ Management and be able to step into the roles of the ward manager in their absence.About us
