Since its launch the service has provided support to over 2000 of our colleagues in addition to delivering a huge program of health promotion and mental health awareness training. This service is exceptionally well respected and valued by staff and featured on BBC’s One Show as a best practice example of staff wellbeing.

An opportunity has arisen for the role of the Staying Well Service Lead Mental Health Practitioner. This will present the right candidate with a fantastic opportunity to engage in this positive, rewarding and varied role which will see them work both on a 1:1 basis with staff facing difficulties as well as engaging with health promotion and engagement and training opportunities. We are eager to continue to develop our service offering and so this role will feature an element of being able to contribute to service development and new initiatives which further support the wellbeing of our teams.

This role will manage the Staying Well Service which comprises of two Band 5 Mental Health Practitioners and the administrative support of the Staying Well Service Office Manager and is operational Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional compassionate leadership and experience of managing caseloads.

This innovative service also maintains a professional link to the Nursing Directorate through which support is provided and supervision is delivered.

The base location for the role is Trust HQ in Exeter. The successful candidate will be expected to travel as part of the role to further embed the Staying Well Service in all areas of the Trust.
