Job Description:

Following a Trust wide review we now have an exciting opportunity to offer a new full time Clinical Team Lead post within an in-patient setting. The Additional Support Unit (ASU) is a five bedded unit on the Whipton Hospital site in Exeter with a multidisciplinary team that includes Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy. The ASU provides multi-disciplinary assessment and multi-faceted treatment plans for individuals with an intellectual disability who are experiencing deterioration in their mental health and/or challenging/distressed behaviour whose needs and risks cannot safely be managed in the community or in a mainstream mental health setting.

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team to develop and maintain a knowledge and skill base to provide a high quality service for individuals with complex needs.

The successful applicant will work a shift pattern between Monday and Sunday and will be part of the leadership team providing real time support working closely with staff members and individuals, participating in assessment and creating person centred treatment plans.

The Clinical Team Lead is part of the multidisciplinary team establishing Positive Behaviour Support framework and will be involved in the continued development operationally and clinically.

We welcome applicants looking to develop their expertise in this field or those considering a change in direction who would bring transferable skills and alternative solutions from different areas of practice. We provide in-house training (e.g. principles and application of Positive Behaviour Support) and support specific training will be offered as identified via regular supervision and PDR.

Relocation may be available for this post.
