Mental Health Practice Lead

Permanent role

Full Time (37.5 hpw).  Brilliant work/life balance

Salary £33,500 to £35,500 per annum

Brilliant outcomes through integrated health, housing and care. That’s when it hits home.

This is your chance to be part of something brilliant at Home Group, where clinical practice works hand in hand with daily support. You’ll be joining us on our exciting journey to become market leaders in New Models of Care by 2021. This means we’re not providing your traditional supported housing services but rather trailblazing the way in delivering brilliant long term outcomes for vulnerable people through integrated health, housing and care.

We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join our brand new service in Blyth which provides support to 37 customers with mental health and complex needs to make positive steps towards independence. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you’ll be developing our team of Support Coordinators to ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety, recovery, wellbeing and maximises customers independence.

As an experienced clinician, you will be our service lead for practice development, developing and delivering specialist training packages to our colleagues, embedding core competencies as well as oversight of clinical supervision.  You’ll be the point of contact for individual support and coaching of our Registered Manager.  You’ll be really enhancing colleagues’ knowledge and skills, promoting regular, honest and supportive feedback.

What’s more, this is an amazing opportunity to really make your mark, supporting our clinical team in the development of performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.  As customer care is at the forefront of everything we do, you will inspire others and advocate a philosophy of care which is person centred, maintains dignity, independence and ensures it is right for that person at that time. You will be enabling us to maintain high standards of support and intervention to contribute to achieving the Care Quality Commission Essential Standards.

On a day to day basis, you’ll report to Rachel our Senior Client Services Manager with your clinical supervision provided by Fiona, our Clinical Lead in Mental Health.

You'll be working alongside Rachel and her awesome team who are all super passionate about supporting customers with positive intervention to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  They're a fun, bubbly and sociable bunch and are all 'foodies' so enjoy getting together for meals out and having service BBQ's.  You'll also find them baking and cooking for each other with an awesome spread at every team meeting.

An Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service is required for this role and will be paid for by us.

Working flexibly

It’s our unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!  And we really mean this!

What’s on offer?

Through our brilliant learning pathways, we’ll support you with your own continual professional development (will even pay for your relevant professional membership fees too) as well maintaining your professional registration through regular clinical supervision and reflective practice.

What’s brilliant here is that there is no need to work your way through red tape or mounds of paperwork and forms (as we are digital all the way!)  We’ll give you the latest IT kit (including surface pro tablet and smart phone) and you’ll also have the freedom to help us shape our services, policies as well as design and deliver specialist training.  You’ll be working alongside like-minded colleagues who are passionate about revolutionising the wider health care agenda through working closely with our NHS and academic colleagues to provide a seamless service with the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

We know that you will thrive here, challenging your own ambitions with our fantastic career opportunities.  There’s lots on offer, and we know you’ll be impressed with our award winning rewards and benefits package which includes: competitive salaries, performance related pay, a contributory occupational money-purchase pension scheme with life assurance and long term disability insurance, 33 days paid holiday a year rising by 1 day per year up to 38 days (inc bank hols), with the ability to purchase an extra 5 days, salary sacrifice schemes including cycle, car, technology and childcare vouchers, heavily discounted AA membership, gyms and savings on high street stores, holidays and restaurants amongst many others.
