Nelson House is a 32 bedded locked rehabilitation recovery service for men and women with mental illness, complex needs, often accompanied by challenging behaviours.
Our beds are split over three wards:
Trafalgar - 14 bedded male ward
Victory - 14 bedded female ward
Marie Rose - 4 bedded pre-discharge pathway ward
We are looking for a dynamic self-motivated ward manager to lead our 32 bedded Rehabilitation and recovery unit. It is an exciting time to join our new senior management team to influence positive change, role modelling and to ensure robust leadership across the service. It is essential the successful candidate has a proven track record of effective leadership skills, knowledge of person centred recovery based interventions and has a passion for working with service users collaboratively, promoting independence.
The ward manager would be expected to manage all aspects of day to day running of the wards, providing and coordinating training, leading innovation and embedding learning from incidents and investigations, creating a culture where by criticisms are learnt from and successes are celebrated.
