The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, CAMHS, acute, PICU and services.
Set within landscaped gardens, the safe and supportive environment of the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.
The opportunity has arisen to join our hospital team as Ward Manager of one of our specilaist services. The role involves: the co-ordination of integrated and holistic patient care, promoting the delivery of high quality nursing care and maintianing a safe clinical environment; responsibility for staffing, rota management, quality improvement objectives and being part of the on-call rota; working as part of the multidisciplinary team, undertaking direct patient care where necessary and ensuring the ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards. Your time will be split between working "on the floor" with the patient and supernumerary time to complete your management responsibilities.
If you fulfil the following criteria we look forward to receiving your application:
- RNLD / RMN Qualification
- NMC Registration
- Extensive clinical experience
- Experience at Deputy Ward Manager level or equivalent
- Evidence of post registration qualification / ongoing learning
- Excellent organisational, decision making and communication skills
- A flexible and strong "can do" attitude
