Deputy Ward Manager - CAMHS - Woodlands and Orchard
Set within landscaped gardens, the safe and supportive environment of the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working within either a secure setting or a CAMHS setting. Reporting to the Ward Manager you will be responsible for the clinical direction of the service, providing clinical supervision for the ward team and implementing best practice. The successful applicant will participate fully with the multi-disciplinary team and support service development initiatives.
We have a number of vacancies within our 15 bed CAMHS HDU and 10 bed female Low secure services which provide assessment and treatment for young people with complex mental health needs within the structured and safe environment of the wards. The therapeutic programmes emphasises the development of new life skills and coping strategies together with maintaining support to meet educational needs and our highly skilled multidisciplinary teams who offer a wide range of interventions and work closely with families and locality teams to ensure a smooth transition back into the community.
The post holder must be experienced in delivering and receiving supervision. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to be able to assess and prioritise clinical situations. The management of effective communication between medical and nursing staff both verbal and written is a key element of this role.

• RNLD / RMN Qualified -experience is essential for the role
• NMC Registered
• Experienced in MDT working
• Be patient centric and have a commitment to delivering high quality care
• Possess fine tuned decision making skills
• Have an excellent organisational capacity and effective communication skills
